I'm in my last 5 days in Lake Zurich, IL, before heading back to Iowa City. It's been fun to get to meet with old friends, as well as meet new ones. I hope all of you affected by the heat wave coursing through the country are keeping cool! It's been a long time since I've experienced such heat.
God's definitely been stretching my trust in him, yet continuing to provide. Currently I'm at around 63% in my monthly goal, with around $1100/month commitment left to raise.
God did something incredible last Sunday. I met with some people for a picnic out by the lake for an afternoon, sharing with them what I'm doing this next year, and they helped in coming up with 63 more contacts to reach out to about the ministry! Just when it seemed like the number of people to reach out to was dwindling, God provided 10-fold new contacts in an afternoon!
Please pray for the following:
- That God would provide --> I need to at least hit 90% of the monthly goal August 1st!!
- Next week, I'll need to move out of the apartment. Please pray that would go smoothly and quickly as to not slow down my efforts to support raise.
- That I would not be gripped by fear, but have confidence in the Lord for his provision and timing.
- That these last few days in Lake Zurich can be as fruitful as possible before heading back to Iowa City.
